got the opportunity of converting my love for drawing and painting into my career in advertising. After
graduating in Applied Art (colloquially known as commercial arts) from the reputed Rachana Sansad
college of Applied Art and Craft, I joined as a trainee at Percept. After the internship at Percept, I worked
for advertising agencies like JWT, DDB Mudra and Contract Advertising.
I’ve been lucky to have handled a wide range of brands ranging from health care, cars, paints, FMCG. My
perspective towards coming to the big idea changed after I started working on full-fledged ad campaigns
consisting of TVCs, print, outdoor, radio, events, activation and digital.
I like to consider every job as a new learning ground. New learning always has its rewards. Our team
at Mudra won the prestigious EFFIE Gold for our work on Dr Reddy’s Velocit pregnancy detection kit.
While in Mudra, I also tried my hand at teaching and got an opportunity go as a visiting faculty for
final year BMM students at Wilson College to teach Advertising Design. After the stint at Mudra, I
joined Contract Advertising, to expand my portfolio of brands handled. At Contract, I, along with my
copy partner, successfully launched ad campaigns for Tata Manza, Tata Aria in overseas markets like
Ghana, Bangladesh and South Africa. My first brush with the digital advertising world came with our
client – moneycontrol.com. We successfully ran a digital campaign for media planners and buyers for
Personally, I still take time out to paint in my free time. Enjoy singing, music, sports and going for an
occasional swim. After all, a day without laughter and happiness is a day wasted!
